WHEN an elderly woman leaves her purse unattended in a train carriage next to an unscrupulous character her dog jumps in to stop it being stolen.
That's the story behind this brilliant three-minute animation by Solent University Animation student Adele John in her film Watch It Dog.
Adele, 22, from Southampton, said: "I got my inspiration from several neighbours who are quite elderly and their dogs are their only companions. So I was inspired about the relationship and the loyalty dogs have to their owners in terms of protection."
Adele's short cartoon is one of 13 that premiered in the city's Harbour Lights Picture House during the Solent Animation Awards.
