Ana’s tragic tale is a feast for the eyes

IT'S a visually stunning animation about a dancer's relationship with her rich owner.

That's the story behind Southampton Solent University animation student Ana Young Lee's three-minute film Porcelain.

Ana, 27, from Bitterne, Southampton, said: "It's about a dancer who is always dancing for her owner. He's a very powerful man but she wants to be free from him. But she can't escape so at the end of the film she kills herself to be free."

Ana's film is one of 13 that premiered at the city's Harbour Lights Picture House during the annual Solent Animation Awards. We will be featuring another two films this week on the Daily Echo's website.
