CCTV released after an armed raid at newsagent
Police hunting an armed robber who tried to hold up a Hampshire newsagents have released CCTV footage of attempted raid.
Detectives in Fareham hope that the images will help close the net on the raider still on the run after bursting into Holly Stores, in Holly Grove, brandishing what appeared to be a gun.

He demanded cash from the women working behind the Post Office counter but fled empty handed when the alarm was activated.
This sparked a police manhunt in the area near the community shop, with dog units and a spotter plan deployed in a bid to catch the man.
Detective Constable Christopher Davies said: "I would ask members of the public to take a close look at the CCTV and to contact us as soon as possible if they recognise the suspect and have any information that could help us with this investigation."
Anyone with any information about the attempted armed robbery that took place at 9.50am on June 4 should contact Fareham police station on 0845 045 45 45 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Seeing that this was 14 days ago can one ask what Hampshire's finest were up to in the meanwhile ?
What imbecile would release pictures that are impossible to recognise ?
Again I ask that the force should reveal what exactly they are doing while the crime figures are escalating !

I'm a genius! Save the picture, and then zoom in. He's wearing a Saints scarf, so it probably [italic]is[/italic] BWP!

There's actually quite a lot to go on. I would certainly recognise him if knew someone with that combination of build, coat, cap and scarf
