Icy roads

Icy roads have returned and with them the monster gritting lorries which terrorise the roads and spray their grit far and wide.

On Thursday at 8.30pm while travelling with other cars along Totteridge Lane, we were approached by a gritting lorry with full lights travelling more than 40mph and not even keeping to the other side of the road, such that we all had to slow to a stop and pull over to allow this vehicle to rush past.

It sprayed all of us with grit.

This is not the first time that we have been subjected to these gritting terrorist attacks at night and furthermore we are often startled in our own front room by these speeding, gritting lorries spraying grit up to 30ft away from the road into people's front gardens and rattling grit against the windows.

Not only is this totally unnecessary but it is extremely dangerous and I would like some sort of system of monitoring carried out on these gritting lorries to prevent this terrorist behaviour.
