Finchley ABC's Joe Smyth, a finalist in the National Schools' Boxing Championships, is still waiting for his chance to win a title for the second time in three years.
He should have had a fight against Dean Booth, from Joyce ABC, Newcastle, at the Broadway Theatre in Barking, last month, but the programme was abandoned following crowd trouble.
Their final was rearranged for Droitwich, West Midlands. However, Joyce was in Cyprus at the time for a representative match.
A second attempt was made to stage the bout at Droitwich on Monday, but Joyce had suffered an eye injury in training.
The new date is Monday, April 21, with a return to Barking.
The following day, Smyth flies to America to represent a Finchley Select team in Las Vegas.
