Keen gardeners are being invited to take up allotments in Shenley's Green Street. The plots, at Ferns Field Allotments, are available for the 2001 to 2002 season, and there is a car park, running water and on-site sale of gardening supplies. A standard 10-pole plot costs £14 for the year, and a five-plot pole £7. Pensioners pay half these prices. For information call 01923 854413.
