People in Croydon are being asked to sign the organ donation register. A campaign has been launched to double the number of people on the register after a decline over the past 10 years in the number
of transplant operations. There are also plans to develop a National Service Framework and to establish national standards in the wake of the Alder Hey report. Malcolm Wicks, MP, for Croydon North,
gave his full backing to the plans.
