Wonderful to be presenting a gong at the Venus Business Women’s Awards in Southampton this week.
The Daily Echo Business Mother of the Year – voted by readers – was the wonderful Emma Sheldon, a disabled mum who is manager for Southampton Centre for Independent Living Continuing Care (SCILCC). A very worth winner.
Organised by the breathless Tara Howard, the event is an out-pouring of success for womankind.
I love it because it doesn’t attempt to do men down, but unashamedly wallows in the joys of being a woman in the world of business.
The message appears to be: we can succeed on our own terms, get over it.
Lovely frocks, sultry smiles, and lots of tattoos. Such fun!
