Macca set to perform Hendrix tribute?

RUMOURS are sweeping the crowd at Sir Paul is planning to open or close his headline set by paying homage to the Isle of Wight’s most famous performer.
It is thought he will pay a musical tribute to guitar genius Jimi Hendrix, whose performance at the festival in 1970 has passed into legend.
Sir Paul agreed to appear at this year’s festival as it is the 40th anniversary of that appearance.
