HE doesn’t feel comfortable on the shot, his cueing is ropey and he hasn’t played a good frame yet.
And yet Graham Hollick leads the Chandler’s Ford SC Open Series after three weeks’ action.
The 47-year-old, known to his old teammates at St Denys Conservative Club as ‘nipper’, has appeared in two finals and one semi-final in Series 9.
Although he has yet to win a final, Graham reckons he’s close to putting it all together. And he even insists he’ll have his name on the club’s high-break board.
“I don’t feel at all comfortable and my cueing is a bit ropey at the moment but I will keep plugging away,” he said.
“Two finals and one semi is OK but I still don’t think I’ve played a good frame yet.
“God help someone when I put it all together. I might even make the 50+ (break) board.”
