A DARLINGTON road was closed for about half an hour today (Monday, May 6) following a one-vehicle car accident.
Darlington police said at about 1.25pm they were called to reports of an accident on the A66, in which a blue Suzuki had ended up on its side, blocking the eastbound carriageway.
The 76-year-old driver was assessed at the scene and did not suffer any injuries.
The road between Blackwell roundabout and The Northern Echo Arena was closed in both directions for about half an hour while the vehicle was recovered.
