For heaven’s sake grow up and stop these hissy-fits
Updated 12:08pm Friday 10th January 2014 in Readers' Letters
I THINK football’s new year’s resolution should be to allow referees to abuse players as much as players abuse referees.
They are all supposed to be professional so why does one side have to behave professionally and not the other?
The Southampton team spent most of the game against Everton surrounding and verbally abusing the referee but when the referee afterwards makes a mild criticism of one of the players, the club throws a hissy-fit and behaves in the arrogant, pathetic and unprofessional way that the chairman and some players have come to represent.
For heaven’s sake, Saints, grow up before you become even more of an embarrassment.
NICK PRITCHARD, Southampton.
