I WAS, as I presume many residents of Imber Way were, impressed with the new street lighting installed recently.
The much brighter lights cast even more sinister shadows on the moonscape of potholes which litter the road from start to finish.
Guildhall Square is grand and the SeaCity Museum magnificent but with the impending centenery of the Great War are we being left as an artistic tribute to the shell cratered battlefields of the Somme more suited to a tank than a family saloon?
You do a good job, Southampton council, but please spend a few bob on our poor road, before we all have to start forking out for broken wheels and suspensions.
ROGER KINGMAN, holing, Southampton.
