COUNCILLOR David Furnell, as expected, writes a letter (Letters, January 7) offering to introduce Prime Minister David Cameron to some of the 14,500 families in our city who have to wait for a council home.
I would also like to show him the money the Labour council wasted on this city in the past and is still doing.
There are also the so-called hard-up families near where I live paying up to £25 on scratch cards every week while I can hardly afford a £2 lucky dip even though I have a full-time job.
Get off the bandwagon Mr Furnell.
MICHAEL TAYLOR, Weston, Southampton.
