I PARKED my car in the first parking bay at the top of Threefield Lane in the centre of the city, just before 10am.
I bought and displayed a parking ticket which would cover my parking fee through to 3pm.
I returned to my vehicle just after 2pm to discover the dreaded white parking ticket folder tucked under a wiper.
As you can imagine, my indignation rose, until I read the note on it.
“I found this a few metres away from your vehicle and hope that it might save you a few pounds.”
Thank you to the considerate traffic warden who took the time and effort to retrieve my wing mirror, knocked off by a passing vehicle, placed it in the envelope and wrote out the note.
DAVID WRIGHT, Southampton.
