Call for honesty in leaflets

Daily Echo: Call for honesty in leaflets Call for honesty in leaflets

OH how I do so agree with the writer of “Once bitten, twice shy...” (Letters, January 18). I also ask who the heck this Eastleigh borough resident masquerading himself as a Coxford local person is?

In fact he has no genuine connection with Southampton let alone the Coxford area.

Claiming to know the community well in a Labour leaflet does make someone a community campaigner.

When local Southampton independent councillors Don Thomas and Keith Morrell say something they mean it, working closely with the community in authentic campaigns: Sainsbury’s right of way, Erskine Court, Oaklands Swimming Pool, reinstating bus routes and many more.

If this Eastleigh dweller is to stand in the approaching local city elections let’s stop the pretence and let’s start to have honesty in Labour’s political leaflets.

NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED.

Oh dear, those in glass houses...How about a little honesty from Keith the "local" candidate who has lived outside of the City for many years.

Oh dear, as a UKIP member I really do not want to be sticking up for Labour candidates, but in my book honesty and integrity come first. The Labour candidate for Coxford works for the NHS at the General and spends a lot of his spare time helping me and others running the Lordshill Community Association, so has a good knowledge of what goes on in the Coxford area. Usual dirty Tory tricks springs to mind with this letter.
