HOUSE prices have risen to a record high, registering a new record of a stunning £17,000 in the past year that has hit the front pages of the national press.

The value of the average home for the very first time is at the £250,000 level, powered by the property boom scoring the reassuring upgrade, in which every region saw some progress. Experts expect the surge to continue.

The dramatic uptick will have positive implications for the wider economy. The significant rise will make householders feel richer. They will, in all likelihood, increase their disposable income, fuelling and feeding through both invaluable economic expansion and the allimportant sensitive jobs market.

However, not everyone is a winner. This is an intimidating factor for first-time buyers.
