WE were given notice on the house we rent as the landlord wants to move back in and we are now struggling to find somewhere to live.

Some agents ae advertising properties which are no longer to rent just to get you on their books! I saw what I thought was a nice house, through what was stated on the advertising page, and it turned out to be a two-bedroom flat.

We are a working couple looking to rent a two-bedroom bungalow or house in the Bitterne Park, Bitterne or Chartwell Green areas for up to £750 a month.

I did not think I would be in this position as my landlord said the house I rent was going to be long-term, which it never turned out to be.

The council cannot help as we are both in work so it has to be the private sector. They said if possible, do not use agents!

Wish that was possible as their fees and contracts are silly amounts. Each agent seems to charge anything they want and some are charging by the property now.

How can getting references and credit checks cost over £220 per person plus VAT and other fees?

If there is anyone who can offer us, a mature working couple, a two-bedroom bungalow or house in the SO18 area, please get in contact.

I am supposed to be moving out by April 1, but I am struggling. Call 07596 430417.
