EASTLEIGH Borough Council leader Keith House has in recent times given some unbelievable statements regarding the hotel at the Ageas Bowl cricket ground – so incredible that no one believed them anyway!
His latest utterances, however, surpass everything.
We are now told that the massive delay in building the hotel has actually worked to our advantage!
If the finished product is going to be superior to the original then we are entitled to assume that the original was not fit for purpose.
And as he still insists that EBC will not be paying more than the original cost, are we to know who will be picking up the shortfall?
I am very reliably informed that the end cost will well exceed the original figure.
