I HAVE read the recent Daily Echo article “Fresh concerns over horses’ welfare’ as well as the letters and comments online.
Someone, presumably an owner of horses there, commented they have permission to graze their horses on the airfield.
Permission from whom?
Persimmon Homes owns this site.
If anyone from the company has given their consent to animals being tethered on the old airfield, it means Persimmon Homes have a responsibility for the welfare of the horses there which includes the control of the ragwort amongst which they are grazing.
Ragwort is a poison to horses.
It would be good to hear what Persimmon have to say.
