AT what age is someone an adult?

A school leaver at 16 has to attend college unless they can get an apprenticeship so the Government says.

You have to be 18 years old to vote, buy cigarettes, go the pub and consume alcohol, gamble and get married.

At 17 you can learn to drive. But bus fares state an adult is 16 years old.

This is not fair when the parent has to foot the bill.

I’m having to pay £430 a year for a bus pass as this is the cheapest option but very costly to me.

Yes there are subsidies from colleges to help with bus fare should your adult child be going to one on the list.

However in my case the college attended is not recognised and does not have any link with any bus group.

As First Bus group is the bus near to home and used regularly, I am now finding this totally unfair and have spoken to First Bus about it.

Funnily enough the person who I was talking to agreed that this is not fair and wish she could help out.

I’m wondering how many people out there feel the same and what have they done about it.
