HAVING watched Mr Miliband at his annual Labour gathering, I wonder if he is making it up as he goes along.
He claims that the NHS was instituted by a Labour government, yet despite years in power it is still trailing.
His manifesto of, and I quote, thousands of nurses, doctors and ancillary workers will be hired. How we are going to pay them out of the budget?
He seems to be telling the faithful that when, and if, he gets back in power, he will produce a miracle to make their dreams come true.
Come off it, Mr Miliband, what about the deficit, you are avoiding talking about?
We remember how you left us last time, with empty pockets.
I suspect some of the deprived public will cling to his words, used as a vote gatherer.
The situation we are in now, through the efforts of the present government, means we can hold up our heads high, while not forgetting the sacrifice of many manual workers who through their forbearance over pay deals, has made it possible.
Put away the Tarot cards and come down to earth.
ALAN BLANDFORD, Southampton.
