Councillor Edward Daunt (“Don’t politicse walk-in centre plans,” Letters, November 14) has the right to express his opinion. As one of his constituents I also have the right to reply.
The decision over the walk-in centre is political. His Conservative party brought in the CCGs that want to get rid of the walk-in centre. His party introduced the Health and Social Care Act that has seen widescale privatisation in the NHS.
Under his Government the NHS faces widespread cuts.
Why wouldn’t Labour’s Rowenna Davis campaign to save the walk-in centre? Labour set up the NHS and Labour will fight to defend our NHS.
