Hostage drama publicity fears
RE the Australian hostage drama, the TV and media coverage may have provided the terrorist with important information and put hostages’ lives at greater risk if the cafe had a TV. When will the media thirst for instant news of events take into account the damage they may be doing? Also the coverage may inspire copycat hostage-taking.
