We are forever being told that after the General Election next May, we will have either David Cameron or Ed Miliband as our Prime Minster.

That is not necessarily the outcome. It is down to YOU.

People in the constituencies held by those two, could decide to vote for another candidate.

My own suggestion, would be for a centre ground Liberal. Also, unseat Ed Balls.

With David Cameron out of the way, perhaps the Conservative Party would not proceed with the ‘in/out’ referendum in respect of our membership of the EU.

No genuine politician can see the sense of us leaving. We helped create the EU, it is ours to run. Not, run away from.

British businesses want us to remain members, as do investors and they provide employment.

Do please note, one more country will be using the euro as from January 1.

More countries are waiting to become part of the European Union. Our/your, European Union.

You should be delighted that we the Brits have indeed created the largest trading block in the world and the euro, is the strongest currency. Not, pound, sterling.

As for Russia, what future realistically do they have?

If like me, you are not right or left wing, then do vote for the Liberals. You may not particularly be impressed by their candidate but he or she is just one of hopefully many others who together, make |up the future Liberal |Democrats.

Don’t let the media make up your mind. I am British through and through. A long time ago, my family were from Scotland on my father’s side, my mother’s were Irish.

I have Welsh relatives through my direct cousins. I think of myself as English and British. I also know, we are here as Europeans.

Through the Royal Family, and via those who invaded this nation, in turn, we invaded about one-third of the world.

We have it all, and yet for some reason, some people want to throw that all away!

In the meantime, I send my season’s greetings to all your readers.

Richard Grant, Burley
