SHOULD Prime Minister David Cameron decide not to appear in the proposed leaders’ election debates will the broadcasters put something on his seat to replace him?

Surely it won’t be so harsh as the large lump of lard that stood in for the then deputy leader of the Labour Party, Roy Hattersley, when the M.P. failed to show up for an edition of “Have I Got News For You” many years ago?

To have a television debate just between David Cameron and Ed Miliband, would be unfair to all the other Political Parties, therefore bias in their favour.

To have all the Party leaders, will be a complete farce.

I propose, that all Parties be given free of charge, a television Broadcast, within all the regions they have candidates standing. One, shown from a different Party, each evening throughout any particular week.

I also suggest all newspapers provide a one off, free of charge a quarter-page to each Party, to get their message over to the readers. That might provide an increase in their sales, if a supplement is also supported by advertising.
