Fine teachers too?
I AM responding to the article in the Daily Echo of parents being fined for their children missing school.
Should teachers also be fined if they fail to turn up to teach? And how do they justify trips abroad in school term time, where teachers go free?
Such trips are being funded by parents forced to meet the cost, otherwise their sons or daughters may feel left out, even if they cannot really afford the substantial cost of some of these trips.
