Get the facts right
MILLIONS did their bit during the war. I must reply to Mr L A O’Bee (Letters, January 13).
No, I did not say ‘I saved the country’. Please get your facts right.
I said ‘we’. That is all those from the many nations which took part in the war against Germany.
Yes, we all did our bit. But some, Mr O’Bee, like your brother, did a bit more as we were volunteers in the Home Guard, and not conscripted. Please get our facts right.
