WHAT a mucky city we have become in Southampton.
Continuous fly-tipping in Dunkirk Road car park, cleared a week ago, and now littered again with household items, TVs, vases, etc.
The city shrub beds in Dunkirk Road, opposite the sports centre, littered with dozens of empty drink cans, certainly not put there by the residents.
An interesting phenomenon is that a high percentage of these cans are energy boosting drinks.
Are the runners, footballers and cyclists so exhausted that they need a boost, then cannot find the strength to find a waste bin?
It’s a sad nation we have become that intends for future generations to inherit a world knee-deep in garbage!
ALAN BLANDFORD, Southampton.
