WITH reference to John Cooper, I only met John a few years ago through the Sholing Senior Citizens Club as he was a member who, despite being a sufferer of polio, voluntarily collected members who couldn’t attend under their own steam for one reason or another.

He is a kind, friendly and humorous man and certainly deserves to receive recognition for being on the Arctic Convoy Conflict.

Anyone who was on these convoys is certainly a hero.

He deserves recognition and I do not understand why he hasn’t received it before now, as many have.
