IT was great to see the photos and feature on the USS Theodore Roosevelt and that it is now in Hampshire.
However, the reason it is anchored off Stokes Bay is because it is too big for Portsmouth Docks. Well it’s not too big for Southampton.
I can’t help feeling our city, once again, has missed a golden opportunity for trade, promotion and profile. Couldn’t our council have seized the day and invited it here?
