PAUL O’Neill (Letters, April 11) takes issue with the various items in a previous letter of mine.
He would have us believe that he checked them all for accuracy. So after going to all that trouble he couldn’t be bothered to refute any single one of them.
Instead he laboriously counted each word and then took the Daily Echo to task for printing it.
He is also wrong in accusing the Echo of not giving equal space to others; they do.
I think the real truth is he was rankled because the content was contrary to the euphoric view he has of the party he supports.
He just threw a hissy fit and metaphorically stamped his foot.
D R SMITH, Southampton.
