What is it with the political parties? We are not daft!

You have the Conservatives making promises, using our taxpayers’ money on endless schemes, which we are in no position to afford.

I get the impression, they deliberately want to lose the general election, and in doing so, avoid that ‘in/out’ referendum.

Labour are basically peddling similar policies, and with a leader who wants nothing to do with the trade unions.

The Greens, Scottish and Welsh want to create a civil war by attacking we the taxpayer, and take away our money. UKIP are, well, UKIP!

In respect of housing. You either buy a home or rent one. There is no in between. Set a limit of three times income for any mortgage.

That will control prices. Scrap any so-called Government (your money) incentives. Build council houses, for those who cannot afford private sector rents.

The tenants’ income to be reviewed every five years, to ensure they do not end up with a house for life and only paying a modest rent. And stop all sales of council and housing association homes, which we paid for.

We, who pay taxes, are the bosses. Not those who were simply elected for five years. They are our employees.

Inheritance tax is very nasty and mean. Everyone should be able to keep or pass on their savings and assets, which have already been taxed over and over again.

In return remove any perks and benefits to the better off, and their beneficiaries. That is how to build a wealthy country and give every single person an incentive to do well.

The mansion tax again is unnecessary. Just create more, fairer council tax bands.

However they must have respect to those who may not be earning huge sums of money.

Personally, I think each property sale could be subject to revision, therefore protecting existing occupiers. And pre-warn a new owner as to the amount they would be required to pay.

Scrap the EPC (Energy Performance Certificate). Those findings would be covered by a survey.

Finally, do you remember Labour saying they would reduce VAT back to 17.5 per cent if elected?
