I RECENTLY spent time at the Southampton General Hospital, being treated by the cardiac department for a new valve, the process known as TAVI.

The treatment that I received there was outstanding; surgeons, consultants, anaesthetists, doctors and nursing staff all being in a class of their own, leaving one awed at their skill, knowledge and kindness.

A huge thank you to Southampton General, a British hospital of which we can all be very proud.
