I was horrified to read in the Daily Echo of the so-called ‘celebration’ by students at Crofton School who pelted each other with eggs and flour to mark the end of their schooling.
Worse still, this was supported by parents who bought the eggs and teachers who watched it happening.
What sort of parent encourages their child to waste food in this way when there are many people who have very little?
What calibre of teacher condones this sort of behaviour and finds it amusing?
It totally gives out the wrong message to children who, when older, will not respect food at all.
You should all be ashamed of yourselves.
