IN response to your published letter from MB Rickards (Poole), who whilst condemning breastfeeding in public, neglected to detail the occasions on which they had been discomfited by this event.

May I suggest that they had failed to identify it happening in their vicinity, since breastfeeding does not require anyone to ‘expose themselves’ as is claimed?

I would also highlight that whilst this person proclaims a Respect Agenda, the comparison of infant feeding with urinating in public is of questionable moral and hygienic standards.

Women quietly and unobtrusively feed their babies in all walks of life and should be courteously supported without ignorant heckling.
