Surprised at policy on EU by party
Like correspondent L.A. O’Bee (letter, May 20), I was surprised (and impressed) to learn that the authentic Liberal Party shares UKIP’s policy of leaving the European Union, an idea usually derided as “right wing” by its knee-jerk opponents.
Meanwhile, on the same day there appears a letter from Mike Biden, who claims that remaining in the EU is necessary for Britain to “protect its vital interests”.
As control of our borders and immigration is at the top of that list, the opposite is true: Britain needs to get out.
