At the ripe old age of 92 I, like a lot of people, find that reading books takes up most of my days.

At times, TV is okay but reading a good book takes a lot of beating.

One of the greatest of authors in this country was Nevil Shute, without doubt, but I wonder why, as far as I know, he never received a high recognition of his greatness.

I am lucky, because I have met this great man. Where was this, you ask? Well I was walking near the house of his works manager Tom Laing, and with him was Nevil Shute.

Lucky for me because one of my sisters, who I was with, worked for Tom Laing.

It seems as though Nevil has a good following still, simply because you published a letter from Jean Doe recently confirming my appraisal of this great man.
