OUR two daughters took us out for a meal and on the way back my husband was taken ill.
We called to two lads over the road to ask if they had a phone to dial 999 for an ambulance as we thought my husband was having a stroke.
They came over and gave my daughter their phone to use. A lady also came over to help as she was a nurse and heard the call.
The ambulance arrived quickly at Baker’s Drove by the school gates and took my husband to hospital.
We would like to say a big thank you to the nurse and the two lads – who would not take any money for use of their phone and they were so polite.
Also the carers in the ambulance who were very helpful.
Thank you all. My husband is home now.
