IN REPLY to Pat Staples’ letter ‘illegal work on railway track'.

Look at things the other way? Is this a move to try and re-open a disused track-bed somewhere.

The move has got to come. Having dealings with the railway network, no track-beds are entirely flat.

As to users being cyclists, just remember a bicycle can be put into a train and taken anywhere.

All railway property becomes ownership of the British Railway Board. I am still committed as to the fact my pension funds have yet to be paid out.

I am teamed with this Railway Development Society whose project, as I understood, was to try and reverse the Beeching Axe of 1963.

As many will notice Chandler's Ford station is now back in public service.

What is needed is a business team with a bit of ready money. I have quoted a fee of £500 for entry, then act under the same movement as a trade union.

This Railway Development Society on their last budget sheet showed figures of £61,000.

If taken and used in a business-like manner, it offers enough to open a disused track-bed somewhere.

It is the bank profits one has got to try and get access to.

As to the railways running out of money – there are enough funds with banks and building societies.

This has already started? Following all the motorways being built, as time progresses they will just run into blocks of powder.

It is somebody holding chairmanship of the British Railways Board to seek help from the government over getting funds for opening disused track-beds.

With this Railway Development Society, it needs an amalgamated group with a bit of ready money.

I have applied to take chairmanship of the British Railways Board through the Minister of Transport. They have stated the post no longer exists.

It must do, seeing there are no railway companies.

Opening the railways up again is all back on government support.

Everything on one system using the 750 volt third rail is in the south east corner.
