NHS statistics need an examination
WHILE any increase in NHS provision is welcome, I am suspicious of Mr Hunt’s statistics.
Patients admitted on a weekend are likely to be admitted due to an emergency.
Thus a tragic outcome is more probable than someone admitted for a bunion operation on a Wednesday morning.
Perhaps a proper examination of the statistics is in order.
