HAS First Bus not noticed that a lot of Saints games this season will be played on a Sunday, due to the club playing in Europe, or the possibility of playing in Europe if they get through the qualifying rounds?
So the cancellations of certain routes are going to make it harder for some fans to attend the matches, especially those with disabilities.
Why is football classified as a second rate event when it comes to transport organisation?
Why are park and rides not used for home matches like they are for major cricket matches at the Ageas Bowl which holds fewer fans than St Mary’s?
The organisers and public transport have missed a trick there. It would also resolve the traffic chaos around St Mary’s, especially at the crossroads leading onto the Itchen bridge, where the traffic lights are not staggered, causing a few near misses.
