BEGGARS are a fact of life in an unequal society like ours.
To pretend otherwise by avoiding or hiding them is no solution.
You don’t have to give money! You can give sandwiches, coffee, chocolate or any other suitable food.
Most of the regular ones I see have been through the HELP agencies and find they don’t fit in.
When living in London, I slept for three nights on Waterloo station. It was an unpleasant experience.
So we must not put compassion on the ration, and help in any way we can.
I describe myself jokingly as “full of hilarity, almost a charity”.
