I AM in total agreement with your correspondent Cindy Elliot (Daily Echo, January 29) regarding parking in Hollybrook Cemetery.

It is apparent from previous correspondence in the letters page that increasing numbers of cars are now parking in the cemetery and are now becoming a nuisance to genuine visitors.

Southampton City Council cemeteries rules and regulations 2015/2016 Paragraph 7.2 states: "All visitors to the cemetery must behave in a respectful manner and must not interfere with any burial taking place. Any person, who damages, de-faces or destroys any property or causes any nuisance within the cemeteries will be liable to prosecution."

I would suggest that car parking for long periods is interfering with burials taking place and causing a nuisance to genuine visitors.

It would be interested to know why the council are ignoring their own regulations and failing to prosecute the offenders.
