QUESTION: who writes letters on subjects they are not in the least interested in purely to make snide remarks to writers whose views they may disagree with, but know at the same time they are right.

The answer of course is Peter Green (April 15) whose first attempt (December 11, 2014) was the closure of the ex-serviceman’s club. He was wrong then, but not particularly interested anyway, however he objected to the fact that I was – I was one of those who were dispensed with, not he!

The second was the sale of council houses (October 23, 2015). I don’t suppose he ever bought one and probably never lived in one, so again, was he really interested? I was not permitted a reply to that one.

Now he’s appeared once again like a spoilt child, crying out to be included in a subject he’s again not really interested in – this time it’s an automatic-geared car. I don’t suppose for one minute he owns one anyway, so why the interest? He just don’t like me getting it right, or maybe he’s after a few driving lessons.

I can see what’s annoying Peter Green is the fact I keep getting things right, so if he wishes to come back in future with further remarks, the editor has my consent to publish my home address so he can tell me to my face. He will find my rattle also has a sting, or maybe we can live in hope he will have something of interest to say without snide remarks, the alternative being to keep quiet.
