WELL, well what a turn up for the books, the Tory heir apparent plotter, assassin dear old Boris has pulled out of the race to succeed David Cameron as PM.

Dare I say he now realises that what he pledged to the country for the Brexit vote may be out of the question and an under-deliverable pledge, promise etc, and that he could not deliver on his pledges especially on immigration and free movement of people.

I think for all his posturing it was to bring down the present prime minster, which due to the outcome of the democratic referendum vote, has precipitated that course of action and outcome.

Things were said by both sides which may not come to fruition.

I for one voted to stay within the EU citing it’s better to fight from within the EU with all its faults than for an uncertain future which we may be on course to experience.

Having said that, the votes have been counted, the people have made their choice, time will tell who was right.

As for Scotland they entered the debate as part of the whole of the United Kingdom.

Once again the SNP are threatening to go for another independence vote – dare I say this is the only ace card they have at the moment, to holding, threatening the rest of the united kingdom give us what we want or we will trigger a independence vote holding the rest of the UK to ransom.

I thought, as with the rest of the United Kingdom, Scotland professed to uphold the democratic mandate of the people, but they seem to prefer to cherry pick what they like and what they want.

Perhaps if Scotland is afforded the right for another independence vote, why not open it up for whole of the United Kingdom as the possible break-up of the union affects us all.

Just a thought.
