THE Happy Hot Dog Man and Emily Byrne, who sells jewellery, aren’t exactly criminals.

They are victims of big business and council collusion.

Emily sells jewellery sourced by her from Thailand, for example £24 for a silver motif, individually crafted ring.

Our high street in Southampton is almost entirely controlled from New York. Boots the chemist, is actually Walgreen (similar to Wal-Mart), a big US merchandiser.

These big companies, like in England the Co-operative Group (which is financially, and by board members, linked to Southampton and Romsey Labour party) can easily lobby council and government to have regulations tailored to their company requirements.

For example there are absolutely no safety issues around either Emily Byrne or the Happy Hot Dog Man regarding their stalls, in fact because their mobile stalls are wheeled they could be more easily moved for emergency vehicle access.

The major high-street stores sell relatively expensive, factory-produced, poorly designed items and because of their high overheads they can’t compete legitimately with Emily and the Hot Dog Man. So they play dirty and the customer suffers.

Exactly this kind of corruption which eliminates the small business and fleeces the consumers is why we quite rightly voted to exit the European Union.

It must be exposed and rooted out for the sake of our national economy and a fair deal for the British consumers, and for our small independent businesses which are the backbone of Britain!
