THE continuing furore over the funding of the NHS leads me to query why on earth the Government doesn’t bale it out properly.

Is it because of shortage of funds? They are investing many billions of pounds on the HS2 for a line from London to the North to save 20 minutes for business men who could use a helicopter.

What a waste, what mismanagement of capital from a government who claims to specialise in management of money. Or is it deeper than we suspect? We have private enterprise in everything now, sometimes more efficient. I was informed that a bloodtest in the USA costs 100 dollars. So are they pressing for private medicine.

Is there some hidden, malicious movement to bring the NHS down by pleading it is unmanageable?

Are we looking at profit, or politics?

We all remember the sums spent in the euro fiasco, why haven’t these sums been used on medicine? The general public are becoming more inquisitive about finance, in a world where one can make a fortune and not pay income tax in the country where they make their fortunes.

The armaments race goes on by us spending billions, I don’t truly believe that we couldn’t run a free health service. The whole system is deliberately blocked along the way.
