I COULD not believe my eyes last week as I drove into Totton. 

A man on a bicycle in full Lycra gear was trailing his Staffordshire Bull Terrier on its lead. 

OK, you might think the dog needed some intensive exercise, although I can think of safer, more efficient ways to exercise a canine.

However, what angered me even more was the fact that the dog was muzzled. 

Poor creature could not possibly breathe adequately to keep up with the speed of the idiot riding his bike. 

Please treat your dogs kindly. Think about their health and safety before you subject them to a potentially life-threatening situation for your own convenience.
