ALL this fuss about diesel vehicles being bad for one’s health is rubbish as far as I’m concerned.
When I was in the Kent Ambulance Service in the 1960s we had 15 or more diesel ambulances in the garage. In the morning to start them a lever was pushed down on on the engine to get it going. There were no heater plugs in those days so when we got the engine running the whole garage was filled with smoke.
The County Medical Officer was there one morning he said there was no harm in diesel fumes and that the worst damage to health was petrol engines when the choke was pulled out.
I’m disabled and I need my diesel vehicle to get me about. I would never buy a petrol one.
